Fig Learning Centre (FIG) was established in 1997 as a high-quality academic centre to support its students in meeting their future career aspirations.
We began operation in Katong (Singapore) and relocated to the present Waterloo Centre in 2002, which is equipped with a Science laboratory to promote hands-on activities.
Through our result-oriented teaching methods, many batches of students achieved excellent exam scores that enabled them to transit successfully to higher-level education.
Presently, our focus is on providing tutoring service (group or individual) to pre-university students in Math and Science-related subjects. Apart from ensuring a good foundation is laid on the concepts, we also strive to deepen the learning process by going beyond the subject syllabus requirements.

Hello, I am Mr Liao, the founder and supervisor of Fig Learning Centre. I have been teaching Math and Physics at JC and tertiary levels since 1998. I enjoy thinking, learning and teaching these subjects very much, and I hope to help you acquire deeper knowledge about our wonderful world of Physics and Mathematics too.
Personally, I believe that anyone who has the willingness to practise and the curiosity to ask questions will eventually attain a good understanding of the subject matter. Scoring well at exams helps in smoothening one's academic pathway, but more importantly, developing a real passion for the subject will lead a learner to scale greater heights. Hence, I always like to supplement my lessons with interesting links to motivate further explorations.
At Fig Learning Centre, we strive to inspire our students to challenge themselves to tackle harder problems once the basics are mastered. We guide them by giving just enough hints for them to solve these problems independently. As instructors, students' joy of discovery after persevering to crack a fun puzzle gives us a great sense of satisfaction too.
